We wanted to sit outside and enjoy the sun with some cocktails and oysters today so we headed to Sea Salt in Berkeley. I would call their menu "adventurous" seafood. They've got all the usual seafood fare too, but the menu is often peppered with weird things like heads and livers. We ordered a bunch of cheap happy hour apps for dinner including fried smelt. Fried smelt is yummy, but it's pretty fishy, and quite clearly it's a fish. There's no disguising what you are eating. We gave Noah a sample pretty certain that he wouldn't be too into it. But, he loved it and ate several back to back. When he no longer had any on his plate he signed for "more" and then said, "cookie?"
Just to be clear...Noah has had cookies and knows that they are super delicious and something to be craved. But, clearly he has a loose interpretation of what exactly a "cookie" is.
