Day Out With Thomas

Today was a very monumental day in Noah's little life. Grandma and I took him to spend the day with Thomas the Tank Engine! He was pretty cute, all decked out in his glow in the dark Thomas shirt, commemorative Thomas engineer hat and "necklace". He literally beamed the whole day, smiling from ear to ear.

The big event was at Roaring Camp in Felton. The 25 minute ride was definitely the highlight, but Noah also got to play with bubbles, jump in a jumpy room, get a tattoo of Percy on his arm and get his picture taken with Thomas.

Take My Picture!

This morning Noah dragged his horse and big Woody downstairs and proceeded to set himself up in a pose and demanded, "Take my picture!" I dutifully obliged.

Batman!

While browsing Halloween costumes online Noah saw a Batman costume and became obsessed with this "Bat guy". And even though I was sure he would want to dress up as Dash from the Incredibles he said Bat guy was cool and he wanted that costume instead. Over the next couple of weeks he talked a lot about Batman (finally got the name right) and how when we got to Colorado he was going to work with his cousins, Jake and Max to overtake the bad guys. During this time he took to wearing his towel around his head and shoulders as a cape to fly around the house. The superhero bug had clearly taken over!

Booboo surprised Noah with all kinds of cool Batman gear when we arrived in Colorado. He got the costume he wanted, plus really cool gloves, a belt and even Bat Man Underoos! But, as soon as everything came out of the bag Noah was terrified. He cried and proclaimed Batman to be "scary."

The day after we got home from Colorado Noah asked about his Batman costume and insisted that he put everything on. He was so excited. Luckily, I was able to snap this one quick picture because as soon as I did he started to freak out. He cried that it was too scary and needed it off now.

So, not sure he'll be Batman this Halloween after all. Too bad too because we wanted to dress his new baby brother up as Penguin.

All Mixed Up

This is what happens when Noah picks his outfit for the day. I actually think he pulls it off quite well. How does a 2.5 year old successfully mix so many patterns and styles and make it look good?! The winter hat is really the piece d' resistance.

Noah and Daddy

I spontaneously entered a picture of Jeremy and Noah in SF Gate's "Like Father Like Son" photo contest. Although we didn't win we did get a sort of honorable mention. Here's the article and photo.
