Always a Ring Bearer...

Noah got to be a ring bearer for the third time--this makes twice in one summer! This time he got to wear the cutest little tuxedo complete with cufflinks. Cufflinks! Who knew they made them for little men?!

He looked like an angel, but unfortunately took this most inopportune time to exert is new found independence. I don't know if he was too hot, too hungry or too sensitive to his Mother's delicate nature (I was fighting off some virus and the need to run for the nearest bathroom) but he was...less than well-behaved. :)

The only way I could get him to carry the cute little bucket with a decoy wedding ring was to hide his trio of Iron Man toys in there too. Truthfully, they weren't too well hidden because many people came up after wards and commented on his Transformers peeking out of the bucket. Jeez, don't these people know their action heroes?!

The plan was to get him and his little co-hort to the top of the aisle and then send them on their way. But, by the time I got there he had my hand in a death grip and I could feel the fiery screams about to burst from his cute little tow head so I ended up non-nonchalantly walking down the aisle too. I tried to be incognito, but I am the size of a small craftsman bungelow so I don't think that went off too well.
All was not lost though because at least he did have the stamina to pose for some pictures. Thank God for M&Ms and Booboo's ability to bribe her grandson.

And, who should I write the check out to?!

Sweet, sweet boy knows just how to tell Momma what she wants to hear. He crawls in bed with me this morning, holds my hand and thoughtfully gazes at my manicure from yesterday and  says, "your nails look so pretty, mommy."

Lucky Boy!

Twice tonight Noah proclaimed his good fortune.

1) Carol, Alan and the bride and groom presented us with a welcome sand bucket (complete with shovel) full of snacks, goodies and info on all the weekend festivities. Noah asked, "Is this for me?!" and then exclaimed, "Oh, I am so very lucky!" I think most people just said thank you.

2) After dinner everyone headed to Temple so Jaimee and Dan could have their marriage blessed. In the car Noah ran down the list of everyone to make sure they would be there. "Max will be there? Jake will be there? And their Mommy and Daddy too? And Booboo and Zadi will be there?..." After answering yes to each and then further explaining that everyone would be there--all of his family. He said, "Oh, I am so very lucky!" And to think that some people don't like their family!

Spidey Dreams!

Woke up at 4am to hear Noah say in the sweetest voice, full of love and surprise, "Spiderman!"

That was it...no other comments. I'm assuming they just went off to play together in his dreams. :)

Spiderman!

Not exactly sure where Noah's infatuation with Spiderman came from, but it's in full effect. He talks constantly about Spiderman, about how they're best friends, about how they hang out together, play together, and eat together. His plan, for now anyway, is to be Spiderman for Halloween. We'll see how that goes given his previous preoccupation with Batman and the scariness of the Batman costume.

This afternoon when we picked Noah up from daycare he proceeded to launch into a long monologue about how Spiderman lives in Oklahoma with Grandpa. Apparently, Spiderman's house (AKA Grandpa's house) has "big rooms with lots of toys for boys like me".

When I could finally get a word in I reminded Noah that tomorrow was Friday and that Grandma was going to be coming to play with him. He asked to speak with her so we immediately called Grandma on my cell phone. I handed the phone back to him expecting him to say his usual, "Hi. I love you. Bye bye." Instead, he launched into another huge monologue with Grandma...again, about Spiderman. This time he gave Grandma specific orders that she was to "go to Oklahoma and pick up Spiderman at Grandpa's house BEFORE coming to my house in Oakland." He stated this demand several times. Poor Grandma. We're hoping that he forgets this by the time she shows up.
