Noah has a renegade testicle. It's M.I.A. He had two when he was born and then one just disappeared. The doctor hasn't been too worried because, apparently it's commonplace for the little devils to scoot on up out of view. Who knew?! Just to be on the safe side she ordered a testicular ultrasound to be done at Children's Hospital. The hope is that we'll find that it's there, but just hiding. If it is hiding it should drop by the time he's one...if not, they'll need to do a little outpatient surgery to retrieve it.
The ultrasound went well. Noah had to lay very, very still for a long time on a big table in the dark. Just like the ultrasounds I endured while pregnant he was lathered in cold goo while the ultrasound was moved around. It didn't seem to bother him too much and he laid still for about 15 minutes, mesmerized by the Winnie the Pooh cartoon that was playing. Luckily by then the nurse was fairly confident that she found the missing testicle and actually captured a photo of it. Now, we just have to wait for it to drop.
