Shannon helped host a baby shower in the Oakland hills. It was a co-ed affair with lots of yummy food. It was in a beautiful Redwood grove in Redwood Park a few miles from our house. During the festivities we asked guests to submit their guesses for the due date and the baby's weight. The guesses were all over the map, but November 11th was the clear winner for the due date. We also asked for advice, if they had any to offer. You can definitely tell that most of the advice came AFTER much beer was consumed. :)Due dates:

Advice:
- Just do what you do--you guys are gonna be awesome.
- Don't kick the baby.
- Power naps!
- Feed him vegetables early 'cause once he turns 2 and a half nothing green will pass his lips!
- Gas drops don't work!! Lay the baby face down.
- All babies love curry! (mild, of course).
- There are no rules- your love will guide you.
- Read Goodnight Moon.
- Keep loving.
- Take all advice with a grain of salt. Every baby's different. Listen to your intuition and consider any possibility.
- Make sure your kid is not a wuss.
- Find a simple game, like cards, and play together in the evening so you have a reason to talk.
- Don't leave the kid in the car.
- Time to cash in on all the favors you both have earned.
- Don't give the baby Vodka
